Root & Rebound is proud to announce the launch of the first-ever California Employers' Fair Chance Hiring Toolkit, a critical resource for California employers, H.R. departments, corporate counsel, and business professionals on "Fair Chance" hiring!
Now starting in California in Fall 2016, Root & Rebound will be providing in-person trainings and consultations, based on the content covered in the toolkit and working in collaboration with employment partners, including private and public employers, small and large businesses, workforce development professionals, and community based organizations. We are also excited by the potential to create an online curriculum for HR departments to use across California, and one day nationally.
The toolkit and trainings are part of the larger national effort to increase employment and economic opportunities for the 1 in 3 Americans living with a criminal record, who are disproportionately low-income and people of color. We hope that the toolkit encourages California employers to explore how they can increase their talent pool and retain loyal employees eager for opportunity and a fair chance at work.
