Why do you come to work at Root & Rebound every day? I grew up in East Oakland, and even though I did not live the every day experience of injustice and inequality in the justice system I soon recognized that I was a byproduct of a broken system. Giving advice and mentoring others has always been a quality and natural instinct I possessed. I come to work everyday because serving a cause greater than oneself is challenging and rewarding, and the feeling you get when a person genuinely appreciates your help is special. It is refreshing to me to know that there are organizations such as Root & Rebound that choose to use their unique and powerful skill set to serve people that are in desperate need of help.
