The Road to Reentry Workshop is a free training to lay out the steps, necessary legal information, and provide attendees with the resources to assist individuals in achieving a successful transition from incarceration back to their communities.
The Basic Workshop will feature a Know Your Rights training on how your rights will be impacted and how they must be exercised when you have a criminal record.
The Train-the-Trainer portion of the event will be directed towards social service providers who work with clients in reentry as a means of arming them with the tools to help their clients navigate the legal barriers they face daily.
Training topics will include:
- Identifying and navigating legal barriers including OTH discharges
- Obtaining identification cards
- Accessing public benefits
- Reuniting with family members.
