RSVP Here for Oakland Access to Justice Days!

On Wednesday, November 7, 2018, from 3-6 pm, R&R will host our 2nd ACCESS TO JUSTICE DAY at our downtown Oakland office for people with arrest and conviction records to meet one-on-one with a member of our legal team. This event is FREE.

You can ask us reentry-related legal questions or other questions about how your record impacts your life & rights. We will also be providing free know-your-rights resources including R&R’s Reentry Planning Toolkit and "My Education, My Freedom" Toolkit for those interested.

Examples of questions we can help provide legal advice on include:
parole and probation restrictions; visiting and reunifying with family members; cleaning up your record; learning about your employment and housing rights; occupational license issues; reinstating a Driver's License; getting basic forms of ID; immigration rights; and voting rights.

IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT, THERE ARE OTHER WAYS TO CONTACT OUR LEGAL TEAM!
On Fridays, Root & Rebound runs a Reentry Legal Hotline (at phone # 510-279-4662) for anyone in California to ask our legal team questions about the impact of a criminal record across all areas of lifefamily law, employment, housing, obtaining ID and drivers licenses, court debt, public benefits, education, tribal law, immigration & more. We are also working to increase the number of in-person legal clinics we offer in regions where we have attorneys on the ground (Los Angeles/Sylmar, Fresno & the Bay Area), and mobile legal clinics in rural & tribal communities.
