Isabella Medina

Women’s Support and leadership intern

Isabela is a senior at California State University, Fresno, majoring in sociology. Aside from academics, Isabela is involved as a member of Power club and secretary of Sociology Club at school. She has volunteered several hours in working in such clubs, empowering women and advocating for minorities. 

Also having partaken in the Literacy for Third Grade Hands On program at Wolter’s Elementary, Isabela tutored young students in english and math. Her experience of working with the youth extends to the non-profit organization Kings Cultural Center. Here, she shares her Hispanic culture through performing arts, such as folklorico and playing the violin mariachi. Moreover, she developed the mariachi program at Palenque Arts where she also taught youth music and Hispanic culture. On her free time she enjoys jamming with her two sisters, cooking, and taking her maltipoo, Alaska on walks at the park.
