Jill is one of Root & Rebound’s AmeriCorps Economic Mobility Coaches. Her service focuses on providing resource navigation and coaching to those affected by mass incarceration.
Jill most recently served as the Health Equity Director and Health Educator at Aetna Better Health of California, a Medicaid health plan in San Diego and Sacramento counties. In this position she created and implemented health equity programs and strategies for both staff and health plan members.
Her previous work experience includes managing grants for community health centers, providing community health education for the state of California and advocating for culturally competent outreach programs for farmworkers across the country.
Jill received her BS in Community Health Education and MPH in Health Administration from San Diego State University.

During my service year I hope to support Root & Rebound in addressing clients’ social
determinants of health and create navigation and education tools to assist and empower clients to advocate for themselves throughout the healthcare and social service systems.
