Sally is a Gallogly Foundation Fellow in the South Carolina Root & Rebound office. Through her fellowship, Sally provides direct legal services to parents facing legal barriers to reentry, including record clearing and advice and representation in family law issues involving child custody, child support, and visitation.

 

Sally received her J.D. with honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 2023.  While in law school, Sally interned with Prisoners’ Legal Services of New York, assisting attorneys in their representation of incarcerated people in New York state prisons and worked on housing, employment, and property forfeiture matters with The Bronx Defenders’ Civil Action Practice. She spent her summers at New York County Defender Services and the Public Defender Service of the District of Columbia in the Parole Division. She participated in Texas Law’s Criminal Defense, Housing, and Immigration Clinics.

 

Prior to law school, Sally worked as a court advocate for the Center for Alternative Sentencing and Employment Services and taught middle school math. She graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a BA in Economics and The University of Missouri – St. Louis with an M.Ed. in Secondary Education. In her free time, Sally enjoys boxing, cooking, and exploring the Southeast.
