Partner With Us

Strengthening the network of support for justice-impacted people across the Unites States requires cross-sector collaboration. Root & Rebound supports our partners with a growing spectrum of services–from workshops and trainings to resource collaborations to holistic assessments of local programs and policies. Our expertise on reentry and record-related barriers adds value to existing advocacy efforts and services by tailoring our knowledge to local contexts. We offer our legal expertise to stakeholders and share best practices that meet the complexity of criminal justice and civil rights issues at hand. Together, we reach a greater number of system-impacted people by developing cross-sector strategies, empowering service providers, and educating impacted communities about their rights.

What We Partner On

workshops & trainings

We tailor one-time trainings and workshop series to our partner organizations’ needs, with the goal to strengthen your staff and organizational capacity to support system-impacted clients and increase cultural competency.

site-based legal clinics

We design site-specific legal clinics and services for people with arrest and conviction histories and support reentry education needs. We can partner with you to create clinics, legal hotline, and other supports for your community or clients.

resource collaboration

We collaborate to develop new publications and written resources for people impacted by the justice system as well as the family members, employers, and service providers who support them

policy assessments & technical support

We conduct policy landscape assessments for our partners’ specific state or region. We assess current reentry barriers and identify opportunities for state and local policy advancement.

social-legal partnership

We serve as a regular on-site presence at your organization, usually monthly or bimonthly. We support your mission by providing holistic legal assessments, community legal clinics, and legal advice for your clients with arrest and conviction histories, and offer reentry empowerment trainings for your staff.

full integration

We embed a dedicated, full-time civil rights attorney at your organization. In this fully integrated partnership model, we provide high-impact, holistic, on-site legal support to break down barriers to opportunity for your system-impacted clients, and work hand-in-hand on educational and policy advocacy efforts.

employer & landlord consults

We consult with employers and landlords to be leaders in their fields. As laws change rapidly to protect people with prior system involvement from discrimination, and as employers and landlords seek to improve their policies, we are available to train and consult with your company on best practices and legal requirements.

If you don’t see it here, let’s make it together. Reach out to find a new way to partner with us.
