Prior to coming to Root & Rebound, Briana was the front line coordinator and general office manager at a nonprofit organization in San Francisco. She assisted clients by figuring out their legal issues and helping them set up appointments to meet with the proper attorney. Briana also supported the attorneys by triaging the clients and getting much information as possible.
On a personal level, Briana strives each day to become a better community leader. She wants to give back to her community. She also is currently in an Esq. Apprentice Program to become a lawyer in 2021.
At Root and Rebound, Briana is the first point of contact for people visiting or calling the office. She reads and responds to prison mail as well as sends out publications and resources.

Why do you come to work at Root & Rebound every day?
From somebody who has been impacted by incarceration, I feel like it is my duty to give back to my community. Give people who have been affected by the criminal justice system alternatives, opportunity, and open doors that for so many years have been shut. In order to see change you have to be the change.
