I graduated from Furman University in Greenville, SC in May of 2024. I earned my B.S. in Health Science, focusing on disease pathology and how systems impact health. My work in college led to an internship teaching exercise and nutrition to women at the Miracle Hill Addiction Recovery Center. Meeting these incredible women who are trying to get their life back on track brought me my first look at that sort of resilience.

I specifically aim to work with American Indian communities by valuing the intersection of health, sociology, criminology, and psychology. In the Fall of 2024 I am set to begin my M.A. at George Washington University in Forensic Psychology. I hope to continue to study prison policy reform and victim counseling while in DC.

Why do you come to work at Root & Rebound every day?

I come to work everyday because of the people. The people who work at Root and Rebound SC and the people we work to serve. I want to use my job to help people as much as I can and I have so much to learn from the amazing community here.
