Simran serves as a law clerk at Root and Rebound. Her role involves supporting the National Education program which focuses on developing legal educational materials for people navigating reentry.
Simran is currently a 2L at UC Davis School of Law. She also received a B.A. in Political Science from UC Davis in 2022 and is a proud Double Aggie. During law school, she had the opportunity to work with individuals navigating the immigration system and research how different factors are likely to impact an individual’s immigration status.

Why do you come to work at Root & Rebound every day?
I come to work at Root & Rebound every day to be an advocate for and provide support to system-impacted individuals. I hope the work I do will break down barriers and help people affected by the carceral system heal.
