CA Employers’ Fair Chance Hiring Toolkit

The California Employers’ Fair Chance Hiring Toolkit is a critical resource for employers, H.R. departments, corporate counsel, and workforce development professionals on “Fair Chance” hiring.

Root & Rebound provides in-person trainings and consultations on Fair Chance Hiring to private and public employers, small and large businesses, workforce development professionals, and community-based organizations to improve your H.R. practices, internal policies, and services.

The toolkit and trainings are part of the larger national effort to increase employment and economic opportunities for the 1 in 3 Americans living with a criminal record, who are disproportionately low-income and people of color. We hope that the toolkit encourages California employers to explore how they can increase their talent pool and retain loyal employees eager for opportunity and a fair chance at work.
